A woman was arrested in Maryland after she threatened Taco Bell staff because her order was taking too long, and she allegedly flashed a gun at them, too.
If you order food at a fast food restaurant, you expect it to be, well, fast. Customers are well experienced in being told to park over because something isn’t ready yet, and seeing a massive list of numbers relating to orders that are ahead of them in the queue.
Over in Maryland, one woman got so frustrated with her wait at Taco Bell that she started threatening staff, leading to her being arrested.
According to Queen Anne’s County Office of the Sheriff, 30-year-old Ashley Andrews has been accused of second-degree assault, displaying a handgun to a person, disturbing the peace or disorderly conduct, and reckless endangerment.
Woman arrested over Taco Bell incident
The incident happened on June 18, when police were called to respond to a situation where a woman had been “displaying a handgun during a verbal altercation.”
“Staff advised Andrews had become upset over her wait time for her food and during a verbal argument told staff members to meet her outside in the parking lot. She then lifted her shirt to show her gun and used threatening language towards them,” the Queen Anne’s County Office said on Facebook.
Taco Bell staff also showed police footage of the incident, with Andrews “placing her hand on the grip of the gun while arguing with staff.”

The 30-year-old was taken into custody by police, where the gun was removed from her, and she was arrested.
As per a report from Law And Crime, Andrews paid a $5000 bond on June 19, so that she could be released. However, she is set to appear in court on July 23 to face the outstanding charges. Andrews has also been trespassed from the particular Taco Bell store.
“I was there, to be fair it was a 30-minute wait. Hats off to the deputies they got there very quickly,” one person commented on Facebook. “There is nothing at Taco Bell worth catching a felony charge for,” another said.
