An 81-year-old couple celebrated more than six decades of marriage by renewing their wedding vows at their favorite Taco Bell, the restaurant where they’ve shared lunch every day for the past 12 years.

Mickey and Jo-Ann Muhlstein, who have been married for 60 years and raised eight children together, chose their local Taco Bell as the venue for the ceremony, with friends and family gathering to watch them reaffirm their commitment to one another.

The heartfelt ceremony was officiated by the Taco Bell district manager, with loved ones watching as the couple exchanged new vows.

During the ceremony, Mickey reflected on both their marriage and the restaurant that has become part of their daily routine.

“Mild, hot, on fire, our love has been strong enough to survive every twist, and not just cinnamon,” he said.

Jo-Ann promised to stand by her husband through their later years, saying, “No matter what happens, I will never let go in our aging years.”

Mickey responded with his own vow, telling his wife: “I will love you for every day that God blessedly grants us together.”

The ceremony also moved members of their family, including one of their eight children, Amy, who spoke about witnessing her parents’ relationship.

“I just wish that everyone could have that and find that in life to have that that kind of love for each other,” she said.

As a surprise following the ceremony, Taco Bell rewarded the longtime customers with free food, recognizing the couple’s years of loyalty after more than a decade of sharing daily lunches at the restaurant.
