Leaked bodycam footage shows Bricks & Minifigs CEO accusing Reckless Ben of threats and extortion

YouTube: BAM Sucks

Unredacted bodycam footage from the American Fork Police Department has leaked online, showing the CEO of Bricks & Minifigs accusing YouTuber Reckless Ben of extortion and collusion.

The ongoing legal saga surrounding Bricks & Minifigs and Reckless Ben, real name Ben Schnieder, has taken another dramatic turn after unredacted footage of Ben’s arrest and preceding conversations with involved parties was published online.

Users claim that the American Fork Police Department uploaded the footage themselves to a public Dropbox, the link for which they seemingly accidentally shared in a previous post.

The bodycam videos were uploaded in separate segments on YouTube, the first of which shows Bricks & Minifigs franchisee owner Joshua Johnson on the phone with the company’s CEO, Ammon McNeff.

Bricks & Minifigs CEO accuses Reckless Ben of harassment, fraud, and threats

During this conversation, McNeff told police that the previous franchisees sold the $200K Star Wars Lego set and fled to Europe without compensating their original owner, saying they’ve “been trying to help” the owner recover their lost funds.

McNeff also told police that Schneider was attempting to “extort” the company for money in “collusion” with the original Lego set owners, accusing them of harassing staff at their private homes and creating fraudulent documentation, as well as forging fake contracts and manager signatures.

What’s most shocking are McNeff’s allegations that Schneider threatened to “kill” one of the Bricks & Minifigs managers over the ordeal. McNeff claimed that there is already an open case against Schneider for this behavior, though this information remains unverified.

Another video shows two law enforcement officers speaking about the situation over the phone, where the second party relays similar information to the recording officer, saying McNeff accused Schneider of threatening behavior and harassment.

Police departments across Utah bombarded with angry calls over Reckless Ben arrest

The caller also stated that McNeff had phoned several police departments in the area about the situation, urging them to take action.

“Hopefully, if this guy actually goes to jail, he’ll tell everybody to stop,” the officer on the phone said.

Reckless Ben unredacted swatting footage released

The footage of Schneider’s arrest was also uploaded to YouTube, showing an officer grabbing the influencer’s arm and telling him, “Don’t move like that, understand me?”

Ben had not made any sudden movements at the time, simply walking out of the house with his arms down, phone in hand.

During a following conversation with another officer, the recording officer said the group was “looking at potential usury” charges, a second degree felony.

After the raid, the recording officer also mentioned that he was familiar with the owner of the AirBnB where Schneider and his friends were staying, saying it was “so funny” to run into him again due to the situation.

Thus far, Ben has not published a response to this unredacted footage, which he had requested in a previous video. It is currently unclear exactly how much footage was fully leaked, but multiple videos from AFPD body cameras are still surfacing online.

This is the latest development in the case after Bricks & Minifigs filed a lawsuit against Reckless Ben, accusing him of defamation and harassment.
