Mountain Dew is releasing a range of limited edition “nostalgia” sodas to coincide with the 4th July celebrations and their own anniversary campaign.
Soda company Mountain Dew has been rolling out a series of nostalgic, retro flavor sodas. This includes the Mountain Dew White Out, a popular fan-voted soda, which was discontinued back in 2020. Customers can find it as part of their tricolor “America Pack” in Walmart.
Now, they are set to partake in a celebration of their own history by releasing a new bundle. It includes a commemorative can, priced at just five cents, a significant amount less than the usual price of $1 or more.
It is part of their “Tasting Great Since ’48” campaign
The soda company, founded in 1948, is releasing the can as part of its “American Original – Tasting Great Since ’48” campaign. According to a press release, it is to celebrate “the grit and independence that trace back to the brand’s Tennessee roots.”
They are releasing the sodas in limited quantities, with only 1,948 bundles on the TikTok shop, a reference to the year that the company was established. The bundle, which includes a 10-pack of Mountain Dew minis, is limited to one bundle per person.
The sale begins June 29. The company will announce the daily quantity count at 12pm ET on their Instagram.

Other food and drink companies have been releasing limited-edition to mark 250 years of American Independence. For example, Oreo and Chips Ahoy have both released red, white and blue versions of their cookies.
