Ninja quits streaming indefinitely over “unplayable” Arc Raiders cheating issues

Streaming star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins announced that he is taking an indefinite break from broadcasting, citing issues with the current state of Arc Raiders.

Embark Studios’ third-person extraction shooter Arc Raiders has been plagued by hackers over the last few weeks.

These cheaters have made sessions unbearable for some players, who’ve taken to social media to bemoan the situation.

Now, one of Arc’s most popular streamers is speaking out and refusing to play until changes are made.

Ninja calls Arc Raiders “literally unplayable” due to cheaters

Ninja, once synonymous with Fortnite, has become a dedicated Arc Raiders streamer following its release in late 2025.

But cheating is becoming so rampant in the looter-shooter that even he is finding it impossible to keep playing. In fact, things have gotten so bad that he’s refusing to stream at all.

“I’m not getting on Arc, and I’m not playing anything else other than League,” he announced in an April 8 Twitch stream. “So if I get on, it’s gonna be League, or a sports show. I’m not even joking. I could play League tomorrow, I could play League in a week. I don’t know. I’m taking a break.”

Specifically, Ninja cited issues with stream snipers who use his broadcasts to determine his location in games and subsequently take him out using hacks.

“Arc was sustaining me like crazy. It was a blast. And then the cheating and the updates… the stream sniping-cheating just sent me over the edge. It makes the game literally unplayable. There’s no other game that I really want to do right now,” he added.

Reactions to Ninja’s announcement were predictably mixed, but the state of cheating in Arc Raiders’ PvP and high-tier lobbies has been a big talking point across the game’s subreddit and other social platforms since early 2026.

Devs at Embark Studios have addressed these concerns multiple times since then, promising to implement ‘significant changes’ to combat hackers and even refunding items players lost to cheaters.

These changes still haven’t solved the problem, leaving players frustrated and even stepping away from the game altogether until sufficient fixes are in place.
