Nintendo Direct confirmed for June 2026: What to expect

Nintendo

Nintendo has announced a new Nintendo Direct for June 9, giving fans an early look at some of the biggest questions surrounding the Switch 2’s future lineup.

The presentation will air at 10 AM ET / 7 AM PT / 3 PM BST and run for roughly 50 minutes, before being followed by a 95-minute Nintendo Treehouse: Live broadcast featuring extended gameplay demonstrations and developer commentary.

What to expect

While the devs haven’t revealed what Switch 2 games will be shown at the June Direct, we might see gameplay from Splatoon Raiders, Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, Star Fox remake, and the highly anticipated Pokemon Wind and Waves.

Of course, much of the excitement surrounding any Nintendo Direct comes from what hasn’t been announced yet. One of the biggest rumors heading into the showcase is a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Reports surrounding long-awaited OOT remake have circulated for months, but speculation intensified after industry insider Nate the Hate claimed the remake is targeting a holiday 2026 release window.

Nintendo has never acknowledged the reports, but that hasn’t stopped fans from hoping the legendary N64 adventure could finally make its return on Switch 2.

Beyond Zelda, players are also expecting surprise first-party reveals, updates on previously announced projects, and new third-party games heading to Nintendo’s latest console.

With PlayStation State of Play, Xbox Games Showcase, and Summer Game Fest wrapped up, Nintendo fans will be hoping tomorrow’s Direct will shed some much-needed light on some shiny new Switch 2 games. Make sure to bookmark this page, as we’ll be updating it with all the biggest announcements.
