Love and Deepspace axed its brand-new sixth boyfriend a week after the reveal, once furious players dragged their revolt offline, sending cow dung to the devs.
Developer Infold unveiled Valko, an edgy werewolf also known as Ao Yin, as the sim’s sixth romance option in late June, and the fanbase recoiled. The fury had little to do with the wolf himself, but was more about longtime players accusing him of siphoning resources from the five existing men, some of whom had waited more than 500 days for a fresh story chapter.
The complaints did not stay on some subreddit, though, and soon started spilling offline.
Developer cancels new character and vows to never add another love interest
On June 30, Infold issued an apology on the official Love and Deepspace account on X and confirmed it had buried Valko for good.

The studio admitted it had “moved forward with the introduction of Valko before we were truly ready,” then pledged that “no additional love interests will be introduced in future content plans.” That freezes the roster at the original five. As compensation, anyone who logs in over the next 30 days pockets one free Deepspace Wish a day, 30 pulls in all.
The reversal capped a fortnight of mutiny that, by most accounts, got genuinely strange. Reports gathered from Chinese social media and surfaced on Reddit claim that incensed players mailed cow dung to Infold’s offices and heaped funeral chrysanthemums, curse banners, and ritual cleansing items around the Valko display outside its headquarters.
None of it has been independently verified, though the company did reportedly tighten security, and its Chinese accounts are said to have shed close to a million followers. Even now the cancellation splits the room, since plenty of global players wanted Valko and have swarmed the apology post begging for his return.
