Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 isn’t even out yet, but that hasn’t stopped fans from thirsting over the series’ new pink-haired anime girl.
On June 28, the official Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 X account shared an image of the new colorful crewmates we’ll be seeing in the upcoming Netflix show. We even got a flashy new trailer that showed off the new cast in action, giving us a sneak peek ahead of the show’s Fall 2026 release.
While details on the new cast are pretty scarce, that hasn’t stopped one character from taking the spotlight. In fact, Japanese animation Studio Trigger has proved that Ace Combat 8’s pink-haired waifu isn’t the only anime waifu gunning for the ‘best girl’ crown.
Talia takes Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 spotlight
So, who is the mystery pink-haired girl that has captured the hearts of Cyberpunk fans around the world? Well, according to the Edgerunners 2 website, she goes by the name Talia Yang.
Talia was born and raised in the glitz and glam of corpo towers, but eventually left her life of luxury and became a member of the Maelstrom gang. The pink-haired punk is known for being “fiercely independent” and is obsessed with the gang’s hyper-violent, chrome-obsessed culture.
The latter of which is shown via Talia’s metal penchant for machine parts, with her design featuring a metal faceplate that covers her jaw, mechanical legs, and a pair of robotically infused arms.
Despite her seemingly being a fan of bloody violence, that hasn’t put fans off in the slightest. In fact, chooms have already started making memes swearing their allegiance to Maelstrom, while others dubbed her “girl Grievous” after Star Wars’ iconic man-and-machine villain.

“That’s the most attractive a Maelstrom psycho I ever laid my eyes on. That gang of metallic nutcrackers really came together and decided to actually get their sh*t together instead of just melting a bunch of metal and flesh together and calling it a day,” wrote one commenter.
“I love her already. Please don’t murder her violently,” added another, making a nod to some particularly upsetting deaths in the original show. Others like her design so much that they are already calling for another Wuthering Waves collab.

“Please add her if y’all decide to do a part 2 collab with Wuthering Waves so I can have a full Edgerunner team,” replied one fan.
While her design has certainly caught the attention of the anime community, it was also revealed that Talia will be played by Kimoy Lee, who was cast in Monster Hunter Wilds and Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter.
Japanese voice actress Akari Kito will also be playing her, with her most notable roles being Nezuko from Demon Slayer and Seiun Sky from Umamusume: Pretty Derby.
We’ll likely learn more about Talia in the weeks and months ahead, but one thing is clear: fans can’t wait to see more of her when Cyberpunk Edgrunners releases this Fall.
